Contact us if you are interested in raw fleeces!  The best availability is in early April ahead of shearing season.  Being handspinners ourselves, we are careful to offer well-skirted raw wool that will be easy to process and yield a beautiful product.  Let us know if you are looking for a particular staple length or trait such as silkiness, loftiness, or elasticity, and we will choose a fleece that meets your needs within the variation in our flock.  

Raw fleeces are $10/pound plus the cost to ship if needed.

Our wool is especially elastic and lofty, making it excellent for medium-wearing, well fitting, and medium-soft woolens (such as sweaters, hats, or mittens) where you want the wool product to maintain its structure and handle some hard-wearing without pilling.  

Wool pellets are an all-natural solution for your garden, potted plants, and houseplants! They return nutrients back to the soil as they break down, and absorb several times their own weight in water so you don’t need to water as frequently. They aerate the soil and also act as a natural slug/snail repellent due to the microscopic barbs on the wool fibers. These are made from 100% wool, using parts of the fleece that are too short or dirty to be made into yarn, providing a sustainable option instead of adding to a landfill.

Add 1/2 cup of pellets per gallon of potted soil for your container plants and houseplants, or 1 pound per 10 square feet of garden soil. It can be mixed into the soil or dressed on the top to act as a mulch and slug repellent.
