These May-born weanlings were reared on pasture.
We are a small sheep farm located in south-central Michigan that specializes in genetics for highly efficient lamb production. We achieve efficient lamb production through careful selection for prolificacy, maternal ability, milk production, growth, muscling, and ability to breed out of season. Our flock is comprised of Dorset, Polypay, Ile-de-France, and Finn composite genetics and is predominantly pasture-based, utilizing sustainable rotational grazing management. Our ewes average 150 lbs at maturity and a 220% lamb crop. We maintain strict biosecurity practices including maintaining a flock free from Ovine Progressive Pnemonia (OPP), Caseous Lymphadenitis (CL), and footrot.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Richard Ehrhardt for the foundation stock of our flock.
